Not receiving notification emails on posting replies

I've started a few topics and also 'subscribed' myself to a few others but I am not getting any email notifications when there are replies to those posts.

I've confirmed that my account settings are correct. I see the list of posts I am currently subscribed to in my profile and ' Turn notification on when you post or reply to a topic' is checked.

Did I miss some setting?

I seem to have 'fixed' my 'problem'. Not sure how, the only thing I changed in my setting was changing the setting for

"For topics and boards I've requested notification on, notify me:"

from 'Instantly - but only on the first unread repy' -> 'Instantly'
