A new global scavenger hunt type game has launched, called Munzee. People place weatherproof tags with a QR code on them. Seekers find and scan them with a smart phone to earn points. See http://www.munzee.com for details.

It has been brought up by players of the game about placing them inside existing caches. The Munzees devs said it was fine but of course GC.com vehemently opposes it. Anyway, on OCUS I added an attribute that users can assign to a cache if it contains a Munzee. Since this is a global game, users have asked that other OC nodes to add the attribute as well.

Here are the graphics I created if anyone wants to use them on their node.

A munzee is type of traveler?
Or does it stay inside the cache "forever"?

Is munzee.com operated for non profit?

Actually we had the same concept as munzee running at opencaching.se before our upgrade but nobody used it. The edit-cache page showed a direct link that the owner could use a QR-code generator to print, scanning it would automatically log the cache.

As a matter of fact, I think that they are operating on a commercial base. But may this be insulting to our wants and needs?
