Translations

It is a while ago, but when i look at the Dutch translations on oc.de i see that there could be some improvements 
A while ago i tried to make a start with this but somehow it was very hard to find out where the files are who needs to translate to Dutch.

Can please someone provide me more info how i can translate the oc.de site to Dutch language. I do know that there are developments on the site, so i like to do it in small parts.
I am able to commit the translations so i do not have to bother any one when a translation is done.

The data.sql file meanwhile has moved to /sql/static-data. But instead of fiddling with data.sql, you may also edit the attached XML file; it gives a better overwiew of the translations for each text. Then you can send the translations to an OC developer who will import them into the OC code.

You may also set up an OC.de developer VM for local testing. teiling88 can give you further information on how to do that.

Than i will start with the attached .xml file and send it back when this is complete.

There is a lot to translate/correct in this .xml file   

Because this has to be done line by line i can suggest that i remove the <JA></JA> lines because they are not used and there is no Japanese Opencaching site. Perhaps i can add <RO></RO> lines so Romania can also translate this site in future.

Please inform me if you allow me to make these changes.

Hi Harry,
i think at this time we can stay focused on active communitys like RO.

I didn't know if you already recongnized that we do a relaunch of our software.
So one part is a much easier translation module.
It will at least take some time until it's developed, but it will come.

Does this mean that i can remove all empty lines like <JA></JA>, <DA></DA>, <PT></PT> and add the lines <RO></RO>? This should make this .xml file about 9000 lines shorter and not 3000 lines longer.

I know that develeopment take time, but now i have time to translate this part of the German translation.
